We first met Rico at Poage Chevrolet in November 2024. We explained that we weren't yet ready to make a purchase but that we would be back in the spring 2025. When we then contacted Rico in May 2025, he remembered us and immediately helped us decide which vehicle we were interested in. He was able to find the color vehicle with what I needed and a trade was made with another dealership to get my car. I was able to purchase the vehicle 3 days later. I have been using Poage since 2005 and I think this last experience has completely ruined it for us. It is not at all what it was when the Cox family was still involved. The service department employees, other than Kevin Prior, are so RUDE! They made the mistake of making the appt for the wrong vehicle and berated my husband about it when he dropped off the vehicle that the appt was really supposed to be for. Plus even just calling for the appt, and being able to speak with someone without getting repeatedly transferred back to the operator first is a JOKE. We took our broken car to Jim Trenary in Troy, and bought a brand new one from them the same day. They now have all of our business for service and sales.

When I dropped off the vehicle, no one bothered calling me to let me know status. When I called the next day, the person couldn't figure out how to transfer the call. When someone called back, there was no official quote they could email me. When I called to let them know I wanted to pick up the vehicle, I got a voicemail when I was transferred to service, so I left a voicemail. Several hours later we went to pick it up and they were surprised. Communication is lacking

Brought vehicle home. Noticed oil spots on driveway. Looked under vehicle and noticed fresh oil accumulating on oil filter. Brought back to service department they said nothing was wrong. I was alllowed to look under vehicle myself. Based on the amount of oil that was on the filter I could clearly see the filter was wiped clean and appeared straighter on its housing. As a mechanic for heavy eguipment I could clearly see the mechanic and service agent were trying to cover up something. Needless to say I will never do any business with this dealership

Had my truck in because of a check engine light that had been coming on and off for a month or so. After reviewing the codes, they diagnosed the issue, but did not have the part. They called to share this information, give me an estimate, and said they could order the part and install the next day. When I got in my car there was trash( small papers, old Lou fouz keychain and hand sanitizer and old papers all over my front passenger floor. I was disappointed at the level of communication. I was sent a text that I could ask questions via that method and did ask questions via text that went unanswered. I also was disappointed about the timeliness of the service. I was told the parts had to be ordered and would arrive in two days, but if I took my vehicle back to use until the parts arrived, I would have to reschedule my service and that could take weeks. As someone who relies on having two vehicles to take children to school, appointment, etc., not having my vehicle for two days while it sat on the lot waiting for service was difficult.

7am appointment for my EV's 7500 mile service. I also had issues with the heat not getting warm enough and the vehicle being offline (unable to use maps, apps, or access onstar). Told service advisor that I had missed a previous update and thought that could be part of the issue and the.upfate would have to be done by them per onstar. Three hours later, imagine my surprise when I am on my way to work (late) and the vehicle is still offline. I contact the service department and was advised the issues were not on the service ticket and I would have to schedule another appointment and leave my vehicle with them all day. I told him I had an entire conversation about the offline status so there's no way it shouldn't have been added. After scheduling the appointment, I pull up my receipt from service where it stated they were unable to duplicate the error, which means it had been on the service ticket. I'm lost as to how they were unable to duplicate the error when all they had to do was push the onstar button to see that the call would not connect, try to use the maps, or pull up any of the apps loaded on the vehicle and they would all say they were offline. Why that now requires keeping my vehicle all day, I don't know. Hopefully, the matter will be resolved on the next visit, but I am very unhappy about the way the service experience went.

I am very frustrated with the service I received during my recent oil change and tire rotation at Poage. Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I’ve experienced with this service department, as I’ve had prior problems after service on our Chevrolet Traverse as well. During this visit, I waited in the waiting room for nearly two hours for what should have been a routine oil change and tire rotation. After waiting that long, I finally asked for an update, only to be told that my vehicle had actually been finished for over an hour. At no point did the service advisor come into the waiting area to review my vehicle or notify me that it was ready. The advisor indicated that he had informed the cashier, but the cashier never relayed this information to me. While I received verbal apologies, there was no attempt to compensate for the hour of my time that was wasted, which was entirely avoidable. This experience reflects a lack of communication and accountability. As a result, I am actively looking for other dealerships to service our Chevrolet, and based on repeated service issues, I would not consider purchasing a vehicle from Poage in the future.

I wish I was able to rate this higher. Scheduler quoted an oil change at $99.99, the total did not reflect this. Parts + labor was more than that alone. . Not the end of the world. Had to request the MPI sheet from Tom which he seemed annoyed about and stated the system was down, the super nice gentleman with long hair corrected him and magically the sheet was printed. Was told everything was great and nothing needed attention BUT I know there are items that have been previously recommended and have not yet been corrected. Perhaps not Tom's fault, maybe the lube tech didnt pay attention? Idk. Minor, but my valve stem caps are also missing. I also went in with a CEL on and scheduled an appointment with him for corrections and was told not to clear it otherwise the techs wouldnt be able to diagnose it. I got the vehicle back and all DTC's were cleared. Tom sure sent a message requesting a survey (08JAN25 @ 1124 hours) but when I responded to the text message I got nothing back (08JAN25 @ 1127) as well as other messages I had sent. Id like to work with the nice guy with the long hair next time I need an oil change. Might have to get maintenance items corrected elsewhere though.

Customer service was nice and they provided me with a ride home so that I didn't have to stay and wait. However, I brought my vehicle in for an exhaust smell. No check engine light was on. They called and said I had a crack in my catalytic convertor and let me know the cost to repair it. I needed to hold off as it was extremely pricey. After $100 inspection charge, I brought my vehicle home and put it in the garage like I always do. The next day I went to drive my vehicle, and the check engine light came on and now the vehicle is running rougher and worse than when I took it in to have them "look" at it. Not happy.
