This past week, Chevrolet released a teaser of what the 2023 Corvette Z06 is going to sound like. It definitely does not sound like a regular Corvette, that’s for sure. The new 2023 Corvette Z06 is going to have a flat- plane crankshaft in it. That will give it that Ferrari sound to it. Chevrolet really went for it with the C8 Corvette from a looks standpoint and now they are doubling down and going after those Italian brands. The Corvette looks like and performs like a European supercar but for less than half the price. If you are looking at a Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren or any other supercar, they are going to cost you way more money than a Chevrolet Corvette.
The starting price for a Corvette Stingray is right around $60,000. Most people customize them to how they want them so it will be more than that but still. Great value for what you are getting. The Z06 usually has around 200 or so more horsepower than the base model Corvette. For example, the C7 Corvette Stingray came with 460 horsepower. The Z06 model had 650 horsepower. The main difference was that there was a supercharger on the Z06 to get the extra power.
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is said to be a naturally aspirated v8 with a Flat- Plane crankshaft which will produce that higher pitch engine noise that is common in Italian supercars.
