This month’s vehicle spotlight is the all new redesigned Chevrolet Blazer. Chevrolet made a big splash in the SUV market when they came back out with the Blazer. Chevrolet already has a great lineup of SUVs and they just added to it with the Blazer. The automobile market has made a pretty drastic shift to SUVs in the past few years. Most of the car manufacturers have made the essential move in their vehicle lineups to cater to the needs and wants of the public. Chevrolet did exactly that. They have stopped making the Cruz and the Impala and have replaced them with other SUV models.

The Chevrolet Blazer is most sporty SUV option from Chevrolet. The Blazer is almost as if Chevrolet made and SUV version of the Camaro. Here are some general specs on the new Blazer.

Specs

– 19/26 MPG

– 64.2 Cu. Ft. of cargo space

– Seats up to 5

– Maximum of 4,500 tow capacity

The Blazer has a few different engines that you can choose from. The Ecotec 2.5L, the 2.0L Turbo, and the 3.6L V6 engine. Depending on what you are looking for, will determine which engine would best suit you. They all offer good gas mileage for SUVs. But if that is your main concern, the Ecotec will be the best engine for you. If you are looking for something a little faster and with a little more pep, get the 3.6L V6 engine. That engine puts out a little over 300 horsepower. There are also many different trim levels to choose from. You will definitely be able to find the right combination for you.

The Blazer has a starting MSRP of $28,800 for the L trim level and will go up from there. After the L, there is a 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier. Any of the models that have the LT in the trim level are relatively similar. They just have different options available in terms of interior and things. When you get to the RS and Premier that’s when the exterior of the car begins to show the changes. The RS model is where you can see the main differences in the different trim levels. The RS model is available with black exterior accents, black Chevy bowtie, and grille. You can also get it with a choice of 20’ or 21’ custom wheels not available on any of the other models. If you are looking for a great looking SUV that gets good gas mileage, then this is the car for you. The Premier trim level is very similar to the RS but you do not get the black accents around the car. The wheels are also not black either. The Premier is the most luxurious version of the Blazer that is available. You will get premium leather interior with unique stitching. This model of course comes with a higher price tag, but you are paying for the higher quality of materials that were used in and out of the car.
