Yesterday, General Motors finally unveiled the new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. This will be the most off road capable truck that Chevrolet has made. When General Motors put out a teaser video a few months ago, a lot of people where hoping that this would be General Motor’s response to the Ford Raptor and the Ram TRX. The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 will not have anywhere near the power of those trucks but will still be very capable off road. We do not know everything about the ZR2 yet but from the looks of it, it is going to be a very popular truck.
It will be equipped with 420 HP and comes stock with 33 inch tires. It will have an upgraded suspension system that will be able to handle off road terrain. The suspension is said to have components of Baja trucks. A Baja truck is a truck that races on a dirt track at right rates of speed. That suspension has to be able to handle jumps and things like that. Now, we aren’t sure how capable the suspension is going to be just yet, so we would not recommend jumping the truck just yet.
The interior of the Silverado ZR2 also got a very needed update. For the longest time, the interior of most Chevrolets has been lacking immensely. It was very boring and had gotten stale and the customers wanted something different. The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado all together is getting an interior update. New infotainment system, digital dash, and much more. The interior basically got an overhaul which it needed.
