May 24, 2021

Production for the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is set to kick off on June 14th, 2021. The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox was supposed to be getting a refresh but due to the pandemic, they had to hold off until 2022. The Equinox is one of the most popular vehicles that Chevrolet offers. Customers are going to be waiting for when the 2022 Equinoxes come off the transport truck.

The main difference with the 2022 Equinox and the 2021 Equinox is that the 2022 Equinox will be available with a RS trim level. This trim level will be below the Premier and right about the LT. The RS package is know for being the “Sporty” trim level the Chevrolet offers. There will also be some updates to the front fascia of the Equinox. A new grille, headlights, and fog lamps are some of the features that are getting updated. The Equinox comes standard with the turbocharged 1.5L 4 cylinder engine. In previous years, a 2.0L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine was offered but that is no longer an option.
